Caprese Salad

What a weekend!

Enjoyed a wonderful wedding Sat night at the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco, then BBQs for the rest of the long weekend.

I hate going to parties/BBQs empty handed, and I always prefer bringing something homemade.  With my little garden sprouting left and right, I decided to make a caprese salad.  The tomatoes haven’t ripened yet, but there was a plethora of fresh basil just waiting to be used!  I picked out a handful of leaves, chopped up some mozzarella, tomatoes, watermelon, and drizzled with balsamic vinaigrette.  With the heat blazing, this was a perfect, refreshing, complement to the meal…
